On View Now—Kenny Rivero: Hear, My Dear

I'm happy to announce the release of a new edition of lithographs by Kenny Rivero, on view from May 17 - June 14, 2017 as part of his solo exhibition Hear, My Dear at Blackburn 20|20 Gallery, 323 W 39th St, 5th Floor, New York, NY.

I had the privilege of collaborating with Kenny as master printer on this 7-color lithograph with chine-collé, published in an edition of twenty with funding from the 2016 Robert B. and Emilie W. Betts Foundation Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop Editioning Residency.

Many thanks to Justin Sanz for completing the chine-collé run on this edition, and to both Justin and Devraj Dakoji for their technical and aesthetic consultation throughout the project. Thanks also to RBPMW interns Nia Belton and Jieun Lim for their outstanding job as press assistants during the editioning process.

Building the clubhouse...

GUESS. WHAT.

I bought some fancy rocks:

litho stones

Meet Sinead and Elly, my newly-adopted pair of 10 x 12 x 3" lithographic limestones. A million thanks to my good friend Steph, who braved the road to Philadelphia and back with me in her '86 Volvo. Yes, this car is older than I am.

Thanks also to Peter of Petrichor Press, master printer and fellow Tamarind alum, who took the time to show us all around the historic Globe Dye Works building where his shop is located. To my fellow lithographers, I believe he still has quite a few stones for sale, but the shop alone is worth a visit!
